Terms of Use

Effective date: June 12, 2026

Acceptance

By downloading or using ElderMail, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What ElderMail is

ElderMail is a native macOS email application for personal use. It connects to your existing email accounts; your mail and settings are stored on your own computer.

License

You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use ElderMail. You may not resell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the app.

Your accounts and caregivers

You are responsible for the email accounts you connect and for keeping your device and caregiver PIN secure. Caregiver features are intended for a trusted family member or helper acting with the account owner's consent.

No warranty

ElderMail is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ElderMail and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes

We may update these terms; the latest version will always be posted on this page with its effective date.
